Check Out The Cake-Matching Manicure At This Indian Wells Wedding

Our Indian Wells wedding at a glance:
After postponing our 2020 wedding just a few weeks prior to the original date, my partner and I found ourselves itching to plan an unforgettable celebration. As Canadians, we hadn’t had the opportunity to travel since the pandemic began. Little did we know, our non-traditional approach to the big day would set the tone for an extraordinary experience. We opted for a unique venue that doubled as accommodation for our 12 closest friends and family members – the stunning Sands Hotel and Spa.
Its inherent character and beauty were so striking that we didn’t require any additional decorations, allowing us to focus on the joy of sharing this special day with loved ones.
Our nail artist replicated our cake design, complete with gold foil and little pearls!
To reciprocate Chris’s effort in making me look good, I wanted to return the favor and treat them to an exceptional experience. So, I arranged for a professional stylist to come and give Chris a haircut that would leave them feeling like royalty. The attention to detail and personalized touch made it truly unforgettable.
Our Indian Wells wedding ceremony:
Our ceremony was an intimate and straightforward affair, with no elaborate speeches or emotional breakdowns in sight. In fact, my husband was adamant that we wouldn’t be writing our own vows, fearing that the pressure would get to him and he’d end up a sniffling mess. We opted for a more low-key approach, keeping things simple and sincere.

Our Indian Wells wedding reception:
As we exchanged vows in a serene atmosphere, our reception turned out to be a stunning celebration! We opted for an intimate dinner at the Pink Cabana, situated within The Sands Hotel and Spa. This picturesque setting provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. What made it even more memorable was the talented musician Durell Anthony, who had traveled all the way from San Diego specifically for us.
He went above and beyond by putting a soulful R&B spin on our first dance song – the iconic ‘Nothing Else Matters’ by Metallica. His unique rendition added an extra layer of emotion to our special moment.
